1-Napoli played more in Juventus' half. There are 2
reasons for this. The first is that Elmas and Ruiz play close to the penalty
area (1), and second is that all three of Juventus centre midfielders are
defensive (2). Even if Juventus won the ball, they struggled to move forward.
Because they didn't have link players.
2-Elmas has increased the duration of attacks. He went
to the area where the ball was and took part in the pass line (1). He had a
role for transition of the game to the other wing. Sometimes he was the name
that approached centre-backs and started the attack (2).
3-Napoli were in the third region mostly in the first
half, but players were not active. Most of the passes were horizontal and short
so they didn't affect the game (1). Also, there was no player running behind
the defence. Insigne moved to the centre, Politano to the side line. Osimhen,
on the other hand, was between centre-backs in front of the penalty area (2).
4-Juventus' most important offensive player was
Morata. They could start the attack with a long pass as centre midfielders
waited in front of the penalty area (1). When the ball came to Morata, he was
sending the ball to the runway of Kulusevksi and Bernardeschi. In addition, he allowed
the wingers to play more freely, as he struggled with centre-backs (2).
5- It is very important that teammates head towards
the goalpost while the player is shooting. Politano turned his body to the goalpost
as Osimhen looked at Insigne during the shot (1). While everyone except
Politano watched the shot, he ran towards the goalpost and sent the ball
bouncing off the goalkeeper (2). If he hadn't followed, there would have been
no goal.
6-Napoli continued to do same pressure in the second
half. When they lost the ball in the first half, they had a hard time regaining
the ball, especially the level of defence against the opposing wingers was low.
Anguissa, Insigne and Politano approached the wingers and pressed. When they
won the ball, they continued the attack.
7-Osimhen could not find a movement area in and around
the box. The first half he was not effective, but the type of passes to Osimhen
in the second half changed. Fullbacks and wingers stopped giving him a long
pass. Instead, they came to the line and sent the ball to him in the area
closest to the goalpost (1). Sometimes Osimhen shot, sometimes he sent the ball
outside the penalty area. Since the defenders were in the penalty area, the
front of the box was more suitable for scoring goals (2).
8-Napoli stopped attacking from the centre. They took
the game to the wings. They wanted from players who are in the centre to score
with a single pass (1). Napoli players went to the wings and widened the
attack. The transition of Juventus to the triple formation facilitated the
implementation of this plan (2).
