Roma never saw the second player. They generally chose
to defend Immobile and lost the game. In the first goal, Immobile came back. He
moved to the right side. 4 centre players (Ibanez, Mancini, Veretout and
Cristante) headed to the right with Immobile. Seeing that the penalty area was
empty, Anderson and Milinkovic (second player) scored the goal thanks to a very
good communication. No one noticed Milinkovic's run into the penalty area.
In the second goal, Immobile took the ball in their
own half. He just went left, not heading towards the centre. Again, these 4
players continued to play close to each other only on the left. Running to the
centre, Pedro (second player) took the ball and scored.
In the third goal, Immobile went very fast behind the
defence. Again, the centre-backs focused only on Immobile. This time it was
Felipe Anderson (second player) who came from behind. Centre midfielders were
late again. They didn't even run back. Vina tried, but it wasn't enough.
Another common feature of goals was the number of
players. In all of them, Roma had more players, but because they focused only
on the player who has the ball, they could not see the other opposing players
(second player).
