Attackers are often more advantageous when attacking because
they can surprise their opponents by acting according to a certain plan.
However, no matter how much the defenders make plans, they need to see
attacking players' changes in position and react quickly.
For example, if offensive players in the penalty area run
towards the left goal post while crossing, the defenders will also run towards
that area. Although they want to defend the penalty area in a balanced way, if
more opponent players move to that area, they will go there too.
But it is difficult for the defenders to see this if
one of the attackers moves towards the other goal post. This player, whose
defence is weakened due to defensive players, can score with a single shot. We
see goals like this in many games.
